Fire crews in the area are warning homeowners about the dangers associated with chimney fires, after a number of them were forced to evacuate their homes over the weekend.
Thomasville, Winston-Salem and other cities in North Carolina were notified of fires in homes that started because the chimney was malfunctioning.

The result was that the homeowners of both homes were forced to move.
