Isaiah Meadow’s lawsuit was the first tactic Ye’s team tried to use to dismiss it. They argued the case should be dismissed because the statute of limitations had expired.
According to Meadows and his lawyers, their lawsuit addresses Ye and Donda Academy’s breach of contract and violations of the Labor Code. One complaint was about the rapper’s very peculiar ways.

Yeezy told Meadows he would reimburse him if he leased a $60,000 home in Calabasas. However, Yeezy reneged on this, leaving Meadows with the bill.
Meadow’s defense is led by Ronald Zambrano, who also represents three ex-dancers from Lizzo’s camp who have accused the musician of sexual harassment.
In a statement, Zambrano said, “We are aware of the response to Mr. Meadows’ lawsuit filed by Ye and his attorneys this week. This does not change our position. We remain committed to taking this case to trial.”
